Hello, I'm Sacha.

I've been obsessed with movement since I learnt how to walk. I've been infatuated with transforming time into motion for as long as I can remember and have dedicated my life to it.

My relationship to movement has taken me down many paths and has ultimately lead me to where I am today. I've always been interested in exploring the mind body connection through all of my expressive mediums.

I graduated from The Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, after completing a Bachelor Degree in Dance with Honours in 2010. Working as a freelance Contemporary Dance Artist in my 20's I choreographed and performed in numerous works and have toured throughout Australia, UK, Spain and France.

Being a Professional Dancer is what initially introduced me Yoga. At first, I was drawn to the practice to support myself through the gruelling physical aspect of my career; and slowly but surly the philosophy began to permeate into my life (Yoga has a funny way of doing that). In 2014 I undertook my first Yoga teacher training and my life began to change. Through Svādhyāya; self study, myself awareness started to expand. This became noticeable in my every day life, but it was the way in which I was held and supported through the depths of devastating loss that it really became my salvation and initiated a deep heart felt reverence for this practice.

Connection to my body is something that has always been taught to me from an early age. I believe that through dedicated observation, training and practice I have been able to establish an incredibly visceral sense of self. A deep-seated understanding of who I am has come through the modalities of movement- And this is what I am so passionate about passing on to others.

Through the senses we can come back to the primal parts of ourself, the human experience of being present in our bodies and alive in our hearts. This paves the way for us hold ourself with a sense of tenderness, to love others more fully and to spiritually connect to something greater.

Om Shanti.
